I've never described an organization as the Spawn of Satan, but that seems to fit here. The service level is non-existent. The level of incompetence is off the chart. No ability or desire to resolve ANYTHING. No ownership, complete lack of concern even when they inadvertently turned off the wrong customer. It's nothing but a list of what they can't do and the blame game to blame someone else. Do yourself a favor, choose ANYONE ELSE but these people, trust me, life is too short.

I have no clue what this review will do. All I know is Xoom had no right to charge me anything at all.

I was singed up unlawfully. I am the only one in my house that pays any bills and even deals with the bills. How they signed me up is still unknown. All I know is I have been paying ComEd for my electricity I don't even look at the bill, I just pay it.

But today I looked to try and see why my bill is was so high and I found out I am paying about two times the current rate for electricity and I had no clue who Xoom Energy was until today. I thought it was the name of the service from ComEd. This is outrageous and I am ready to go to court for whatever this is called. All I know is it's not legal at all!!!

December 2017 through August 2020 that's how long they have been taking my money. I don't know how much but you better bet I'm going to get a copy of all my bills and the rates ComEd actually charges.

Xoom Energy's $0.119 Per KWH compared to ComEd's 0.0674 Per KWH this month just shows how bad I've been being robbed. $159.39 just in July 2020 worth of overcharges.

Don't get stuck in fixed pricing it's a bad decision. It sounds good until your contract is over or the supply price goes down. My bill is double the current price of the electrical supply from ComEd. My bills are on auto-pay so who knows how long they have been charging me double. The worst part is I never even signed up for this service the phone number that was used to set up the service is not even mine. Dec 2017 - **** August unlawful account charges and who knows who set it up on my account! I'm going to sue them for the charges and unlawful account registration. THIS IS TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS AND A RIP OFF!

BI signed on for a promotional rate. At the end of that period without notification, they raised the rate to almost 2 times the PUCO rate. Classic bait abs switch. No one monitors them. Be careful.

Bad Customer service - Not interested in your business

I travel on a weekly basis and am home on the weekends. Received a late notice through the mail (for one month's electrical service) on Saturday 03/07 saying my power would be cut off on Monday 03/09.

I had scheduled to contact them first thing Monday morning (hours of operation starting at 8:00 a.m.) to discuss the notice but before I could contact them, and speak to a live person, they cut the power off. After being on hold for 20 minutes, I was connected to Mario who at first obtained information on the current situation. We also concurrently paid the bill on line to ensure records were updated and to ensure restoration of service. We received a confirmation number and an acknowledgement e-mail that the payment had been processed, yet Mario could not confirm receipt of payment.

I then forwarded the email to their customer service center, as instructed, and yet they could still not confirm payment. After 30 additional minutes, we were finally able to speak with a supervisor as Mario had no intentions on resolving the issue. The supervisor finally acknowledged that the payment had been received, confirmed, and the work order had been sent but now it would take 24-48 hours to restore service. While on the phone with Xoom, we also contacted Oncor, the service provider, to try and expedite the restoration process and they indicated that as soon as they received a work order from Xoom they could restore within 2 hours.

Ironically the work order was received by Oncor while the two representatives were talking, go figure. Xoom had no intentions on expediting the process. Kudos to the Oncor rep as she was very professional and courteous.

As far as Xoom is concerned, buyer beware.

They're only in it for the money and have no desire to provide customer satisfaction. Once you're hooked, you may as well be a dead fish to them.

I received a gas bill triple what I usually get. When I called 70% of it was Xoom charges. When I called to cancel they had the wrong name, our business email is not on file nor is the correct phone number. They won't let me cancel bc I CAN NOT VERIFY THE FRAUDULANT INFORMATION but they don't have our Fed Id# no correct info!

after 2 year with services with them I had forgotten to renew my contract and that month bill came high but decided to switch to another company and that month double. call in and they told me it was my fault for not *** the renewal and that I had to pay a variable rate on those month. also even that I had cancel on sept they went at the end of the month and withdrawal that amount. If you want to switch you have to cancel all your automated payment because they can still go in. I called to see if they can help me out and reduce that rate for that month and they said no.

Switching to Xoom energy is by far the worst decision for my home needs I've ever made my bill is exceptionally high because of their 3rd party billing. I thought I was getting a deal and got scammed instead.

I am very displeased with the service at Xoom Energy. I was a loyal customer for 2 years and I would never recommend this company to anyone! All I have gotten was the run around from every service rep and manager working there. This company is horrible to customers and they rape you with charges. Xoom would have kept a loyal customer if they had fixed their horrible customer service and their rates. It seems that the service agents do not care to keep customers satisfied or on contract. Xoom needs to review their employees if they want to keep future customers. i have been trying to resolve a issue with them for over a month now. If I could rate this company a zero I would. This company needs to be shut down.

Very poor customer service/ misleading prices

Never sent any mail or emails about changes to energy rates. When noticed we were paying more than our neighbors called them and found our rate had gone up without any notification. Asked for a refund for negligence and to even sign up again with them with another contract they offered . They said they don't give refunds for past bills and that they have on file they did send notifications which never happened . Poor unfriendly customer service and definitely a scam

Better think twice about signing up with this company! I signed up under promotion with ACN.

I didn't realize this was an internet company. I set up monthly automatic payments. In May, they changed their payment website so my automatic payments were not honored. Couple of months later I received a $750 bill.

My contract had also came for renewal. I missed their email but they didn't try to send mail or call me. I told them that I can't pay the whole $750 at once but willing to pay my monthly bill with extra payment and I'd like to lower the variable rate which was twice the normal rates. They said it was going to take two monthly cycle before it would take effect and mean while I couldn't switch to other companies until I paid my bills.

I ended up calling other companies and switched regardless and still stuck paying these exorbitance payments. They also kept sending me pink disconnect notice threatening to turn off my electricity even after making arrangements to make payments. They could have tried to contact me and let me know about my new contract and their payment system and work with me to turn things around. By the way, you can't even see your bill online...how's that for an internet company.

I'm still having to finish paying $1,213.44 for 3 months which is over $400 per month...very ridiculous! I'll take responsibility that I should have been more vigilant and on top of my emails but still they could have been more proactive in contacting me in other ways and work with me instead of threatening with disconnection notice and making me stay paying these ridiculous rates until they would switch me to fixed rate.

There are a lot of other companies around. I would stay away from this one!
